Brid Fawl and Nora O’Connor
Ballinderreen Hurling and Camogie Club was saddened to hear of the passing of Brid Fawl (née McTigue) and Nora O’Connor (née Reddin). Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and friends.

Social Dancing Nights return to Keanes Music Venue in Oranmore on Sunday 27th of October 2024.

Social Camogie
Exciting New Initiative for the Club Starting soon
There will be a meeting for all those interested in social camogie at 8pm on Tuesday, Oct 1st in the community meeting room.
Registration for Social Camogie is open now
For further details email secretary.ballinderreen.galway@camogie.ie Participants must be over the age of 25 and cannot be a registered player with any competitive team. Social membership of the Club is required to participate.
Sessions will take place on Tuesday evenings from 8-9 pm in the Astro in Ballinderreen.

Fundraising coffee morning
Don’t forget.. Ballinderreen Community Centre will host a fundraising coffee morning on Thursday 26th September from 9:00am. Call in for a coffee or grab a tea/coffee to go .. complimentary scones and home baking
Connacht GAA Bursary Awards
The Connacht GAA Bursary Scheme is open for applications. This is not limited only to players. Members of the club who have an interest in club administration, coaching or officer roles are also welcome to apply.

Last Man Standing
The hurling team is running a Last Man Standing fundraiser to coincide with the beginning of the Premier League. Cost of entry is €10. The prize for winning the competition is €1000. The contest begins this weekend.

Eoin McDonagh Interview
Eoin McDonagh was interviewed by Sean Walsh on Galway Bay FM's Hurling Chat podcast last week. The conversation covered his work as the Director for Student Health at the University of Galway, his experiences as the team doctor for the Galway hurlers, the split season, injury management and his sporting career.
The interview concludes with a discussion about his father, Joe, including memories of the 1996 Junior B county championship and the celebrations of his election as GAA president.
An interesting insight for juvenile players is how much he felt he improved when he started attending Coláiste Éinde. He used to have to wait for his father to finish work after school for around half an hour and spent that time pucking a sliotar in the ball alley. A little practice everyday can accumulate into big improvements if given time.
