Keith Carr is running a supervised 6 week 0 to 5k training program in Ballinderreen GAA grounds beginning on Monday, the 4th of November. Training days are Mondays (7-8pm), Thursdays (7-8pm) and Saturdays (8-9am). Sessions cost €5 each but the whole program can be purchased for €90. The Ballinderreen Hurling Club AGM with take place on Friday, 15th of November, at 7:30pm in the community centre. Anyone is interested in joining the committee or would like to understand how you can help your club, please get in touch with any of the present committee to discuss. Only 2024 members will be allowed to propose or second a proposal and vote on a proposal. Finally, we encourage all members to attend the AGM so that you may exercise your right to a say in how your club is run. We also invite any prospective club members to attend.

Camogie End-of-Season Events Our U8 Camogie team wrapped up the season last Friday with a fun-filled pizza party and an awards presentation. Huge thanks to the management and coaches, Iwona Harty, Brian Mellett, Stephaine Fallon, and Barry Quinn, for dedicating their time and expertise to help this fantastic group of girls improve their skills so much over the past year. A big thank you to all the parents for their continuous support, encouraging the girls throughout the year and bringing them to training and matches each week Our U9/10 Camogie team concluded the season with a thrilling Mother vs. Daughter evening on the Astro, which ended in a penalty shootout. Zoe Mills is 2 years old and has been battling with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma for over a year which has included high dose chemotherapy, radiotherapy, a stem cell transplant and an abdominal surgery. Her father, David, coaches juvenile hurling in St Pats Donabate with Alan Quinn. She is undergoing the immunotherapy phase of her treatment but this form of cancer has a high relapse rate. Her family are raising funds through @hope_for_zoe for her to travel to the USA to participate in clinical trials which aim to prevent the disease from returning.
