Eoin McDonagh Interview

Eoin McDonagh was interviewed by Sean Walsh on Galway Bay FM's Hurling Chat podcast this week. The conversation covered his work as the Director for Student Health at the University of Galway, his experiences as the team doctor for the Galway hurlers, the split season, injury management and his sporting career.

The interview concludes with a discussion about his father, Joe, including memories of the 1996 Junior B county championship and the celebrations of his election as GAA president.

An interesting insight for juvenile players is how much he felt he improved when he started attending Coláiste Éinde. He used to have to wait for his father to finish work after school for around half an hour and spent that time pucking a sliotar in the ball alley. A little practice everyday can accumulate into big improvements if given time.
