The U12 camogie team demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork in their recent matches. their hard work paid off with a well-deserved winning their game against Moycullen

Despite a loss in the game against St Thomas’, they kept their spirits high and played with determination. In both games, the girls showed impressive determination, resilience, and sportsmanship, making the club proud of their efforts.

Congratulations to Conor Crotty and Patrick Carr who both played in their 0-23 to 0-8 win over Cork in the Gaelic Masters Hurling Championship.

Congratulations to Ballinderreen Under-13s who took part in the Galway skills challenge on Saturday in Loughgeorge and won the solo challenge on the day.

Social Dancing Nights return to Keanes Music Venue in Oranmore on Sunday 22nd of September 2024.

Social Camogie

Exciting New Initiative for the Club Starting soon

There will be a meeting for all those interested in social camogie at 8pm on Tuesday Oct 1st in the community meeting room.

Participants must be over the age of 25 and cannot be a registered player with any competitive team. Social membership of the Club is required to participate.

Sessions will take place on Tuesday evenings from 8-9 pm in the Astro in Ballinderreen.

Sketching Workshop with Róisín Curé

Artist Róisín Curé will host two events on Friday, 20th September, in Ballinderreen Community Centre as part of Culture Night.

Kids Workshop 7pm - 8pm: Róisín will be giving kids a hands-on workshop in cartooning and comic making. Kids will need to bring a pencil, rubber and sharpener, and colouring pencils or twistables. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in the comics workshop.

Talk for Adults 8pm – 9pm: This talk will give an introduction to urban sketching and about the mindful practice and benefits of sketching on the spot, what you’ll need and how to get involved in Galway.

Róisín Curé has taught sketching and cartooning workshops to adults and children, in Ireland and across Europe, for over a decade.

Connacht GAA Bursary Awards

The Connacht GAA Bursary Scheme is open for applications. This is not limited only to players. Members of the club who have an interest in club administration, coaching or officer roles are also welcome to apply.

The closing date is 18th October 2024. See the documents in the Connacht GAA Student Bursary Award Scheme 2024/25 folder for more details.

Last Man Standing

The hurling team is running a Last Man Standing fundraiser to coincide with the beginning of the Premier League. Cost of entry is €10. The prize for winning the competition is €1000.
