2025 Club Membership
2025 membership is now due and must be paid by the end of March to ensure that players can continue training and playing. Membership covers insurance and eligibility for matches, so don’t miss out! Please make payment as soon as possible to stay registered with the club. Membership can be paid using the ClubZap app on your smartphone or by using this link to use a browser. We recommend installing the ClubZap app as club communications will be moving there in the future.This article contains screenshots of the payment process and links to ClubZap’s support documentation to help make the process as easy as possible.

Ireland AM
Ireland AM are visiting the club tomorrow morning to mark Women in Sport Week. They will speak to Martina Carr, Fiona Ryan and Mark Lane about the one club with a spotlight on the nursery and Camogie’s work to develop teenage players. We will also have nursery and teenage members practicing and hopefully contributing as well. Tune in bright and early on Virgin Media

Congratulations to the Ballinderreen GAA Club table quiz team of Mattie Larkin, Terence Hynes, Pat Downes and Breandán Ó Loinsigh who finished 2nd in the Galway County Senior Scór Table Quiz which took place in Ballinderreen Community Centre on Saturday night.

Register your interest Bus to Cork V Galway
The Club are trying to organise a bus for the Cork vs. Galway match on March 22nd at 7:30 PM in Páirc Uí Chaoimh Cork.
Departure around 3 PM, returning by 1 AM. The juvenile package (bus + match ticket) is €25, adult bus fare is €25 (match ticket not included). Limited spaces available. Contact Cyril Hession on WhatsApp at 0868132643 if interested.
Please note Juveniles must be accompanied by a parent/responsible adult.
Senior League Draw
Ballinderreen have been drawn in Group 2 of the Division 2 Hurling League along with Gort, Tynagh-Abbey/Duniry, Killimor, Kilnadeema-Leitrim and Killimordaly.
Group 1 contains Beagh, Portumna, Meelick-Eyrecourt, Ballygar, Ardrahan and Kilconeiron.
The top 2 teams in each group will contest the semi-finals.
These are the provisional fixtures and could change in the future.

Minor Hurling and Camogie Awards Night
The club is pleased to announce that the Minor Hurling and Camogie Awards Night will take place at Rafferty's Rest, Kilcolgan, on Friday, March 21st, 2025, starting at 8:30 PM.
The presentation of medals to both championship-winning teams, along with the announcement of the Minor Hurling and Minor Camogie Player of the Year 2024, will take place between 9:30 PM and 10:30 PM, followed by live music until 11:30 PM.
Rafferty's Rest has requested that parents be informed that underage drinking will not be permitted on the premises, and ID checks will be in place. Additionally, a limit of one drink per order will apply to attendees aged 18–20. The club requests that at least one parent or responsible adult accompany each underage player.
This promises to be a fantastic evening for players and their families, celebrating the remarkable achievement of our 2 winning Minor Teams. We look forward to seeing you there!

Work is continuing on the juvenile pitch but it will remain closed this week.

Patrick Carr was announced as a contestant for the Dancing Like a Star Stateside. He will perform live in the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on April 5th with Caroline Downey.

Introduction to Coaching Gaelic Games 2025
The Introduction to Coaching Gaelic Games is the introductory award for coaches of Gaelic games. The course is aimed at beginner coaches and will enable participants in the organisation of activities to develop Hurling/Camogie or Gaelic Football/Ladies Football. This award is recognised across The Camogie Association, GAA and LGFA.

Call for Camogie Archival Material
As part of the Camogie Association 120th Year commemorations, the GAA Library and Archive is interested in acquiring any camogie material that contains information that can, or will, be used by historians and researchers, both now and in future years, including:
- Minute books
- Convention reports
- Match programmes and souvenir programmes (i.e. opening of grounds)
- Publications (books, magazines and annuals)
- Old photographs
- Letters and diaries relating to Camogie

Over 55’s Survey
Galway County Council are conducting a survey of people 55 and over about living in Galway. They will use the survey to help to identify funding priorities and projects across a broad range of areas which impact quality of life for older people, including transport, housing, outdoor spaces, social participation, community supports and health services.
