GAA Injury Benefit Fund

The GAA Injury Benefit Fund provides support to registered GAA members who suffer accidental bodily injuries while participating in official Gaelic Games playing activities.

Eligibility

In order for a player to make a claim, they must be a paid member on Foireann on the date of the injury and have a valid 2025 membership number.

Injury claims must be registered on Foireann within 60 days. The day of the injury is Day 1.

Claims will require a referee's report (if the injury happened during a match) or a letter on club-headed paper (if the injury happened during a supervised collective training session).

Please Note

The injury benefit fund is not an insurance policy.

If the player has personal insurance, they must make a claim on that first before making a claim to the injury benefit fund. The injury benefit fund may then cover costs within set limits.

More details can be found on the GAA Injury Benefit Fund Summary document.
