Senior Hurling Championship

Ballinderreen’s opening game of the Senior B Hurling Championship against Liam Mellows will take place in Pearse Stadium on Saturday, 9th of August at 2:30pm. This will be the first game of a double header with Moycullen playing Athenry at 4:15pm.

Meet Galway Camogie Players

Meet & Greet with Our County Stars!

Join us at Ballinderreen pitch this Wednesday, 5th August at 7.30pm for a special evening with Galway Camogie players Emma Helebert and Fiona Ryan!

All are welcome.

Get your children involved in the build-up to this year’s Camogie All-Ireland with our fun Activity Sheet! Print out the sheet below, colour in and predict the score and bring to the meet and greet on Wednesday at 7.30pm

Open to all U12 teams

The overall winner will receive an official Galway T-shirt, with smaller prizes for individual age groups (TBC).

Galway Camogie Fundraising

Galway Camogie have launched a fundraiser to help with the increased expenses that comes with qualifying for the All-Ireland final. Donations can be made at the following link: https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/GCAI2025

Galway Camogie are also inviting businesses to sponsor a player for a minimum of €300. In return for their support, participating businesses will receive:

• A shout-out on Galway Camogie’s social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram)
• A spot on the Galway Camogie website as a proud sponsor, with link embedded to your website
• Publication of the business details on the player profiles at the Team Reception

South Galway Athletics

Congratulations to Orlaith and Stephen Mannion who both competed at the Senior Track and Field All Ireland finals at the weekend.

Orlaith finished 4th in the 100m hurdles setting a new personal best of 13.85 seconds. She missed out on bronze by 0.01 of a second.

You can see her performance in the video below.

Stephen finished 4th in his heat in the 400m, narrowly missing a place in the final.

 

Keith Carr

Keith Carr Health & Performance Coaching is running a 6 week training programme in preparation for the Croí Night Run which takes place on the Salthill Prom on the 17th of October at 8pm. The programme begins on the 29th of August and will have 2 sessions per week. The cost is €95 which includes registration for the race.

Galway GAA is now inviting expressions of interest for the following inter-county management positions:

• U17 Football Manager
• U20 Football Manager
• U20 Hurling Manager

In addition to direct applications, nominations may also be submitted through our clubs, with the consent of the nominee.
