Foroige

A message from Ballinderreen Foróige

A massive thank you to our amazing Foróige members who hosted a bake sale in aid of sensory boards for our community playground! Thanks to their hard work — AND the incredible generosity of our community, who donated treats and came along to buy them — we raised the final funds needed to get the sensory boards installed.

Uisce Éireann

Uisce Éireann are due to begin works to replace almost 4km of existing water mains with new pipes along the N67 between Ballinderreen and Kilcolgan. They expect for this project to be completed in early 2026.

Lane closures will be required at certain stages so delays can be expected when travelling between Ballinderreen and Kilcolgan.

There may be some short-term interruptions to water supplies but any affected households should be given 48 hours notice.

More details can be found at this link: https://www.water.ie/news/south-galway-communities-reap-benefits-new-water-mains
