Condolences

BRENDA MCTIGUE RIP

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Brenda McTigue, beloved wife of the late Michael McTigue, former Club President.

On behalf of everyone in Ballinderreen Hurling and Camogie Club, we offer our heartfelt condolences to Sinead, Robert, Nollaig, Anthony, and the extended McTigue and Manton family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.

Senior Hurling

Congratulations to Shane Cassidy, Shane Larkin and Robbie Meehan who were named on the Q Financial Senior B Team of the Week for their performances in the one-point defeat to Kilnadeema-Leitrim.

The report for the Ballinderreen v Kilnadeema-Leitrim game begins at 18:10 in the player.

Ballinderreen will play their final group game against Tynagh/Abbey-Duniry on the weekend of the 6th/7th of September.

 

U15 Camogie

Congratulations to club members Alice Derrane, Cait Hanrahan, and Ella Ward, joint captain, who were part of the U15 Galway A and B Development camogie teams who won the National blitz final

 

South Galway Bay Music Festival

As a thank you to all our volunteers and sponsors, we are holding an appreciation night on Sat, 20th September from 8 pm in Rafterys Rest Kilcolgan.

Keith Carr

Keith Carr Health & Performance Coaching is running a 6 week training programme in preparation for the Croí Night Run which takes place on the Salthill Prom on the 17th of October at 8pm. The programme begins on the 29th of August and will have 2 sessions per week. The cost is €95 which includes registration for the race.

Affordable Housing Scheme

Galway County Council is inviting the public to participate in an online survey to assist in establishing the profile of demand and preferred locations in County Galway for affordable homes. Over time, this information will enable us to apply to the Department of Housing for future funding for Affordable Housing in various towns across the County, based on identified areas of demand.

An Affordable Housing Scheme provides houses at a reduced price for eligible applicants, including First Time Buyers and Fresh Start Buyers. The survey will inform the ongoing work of developing affordable housing across the County, in accordance with ‘Housing for All Delivery Action Plan 2022-2026’.

The survey can be viewed and completed on the Galway County Council website at www.galway.ie/AHSurvey or www.gaillimh.ie/SuirbheTI and can be completed in both English or Gaeilge.
